Neighborhood Parks
 NO alcohol allowed at any of the parks listed below.
 
Most parks can be reserved for your special events by contacting the 
Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority at 229-259-3507.
All Park Rentals are based on a 4 hour period.

If Park is not reserved, it is a 'first come, first serve policy'.

 
 

 

 

 

Azalea City Trail

(2.7 miles)

From Vallotton Youth Complex on Woodlawn Drive to Craig Center on West Gordon Street.

The Azalea City Trail is a wonderful addition to our city, providing a 2.7 mile trail through the city, beginning at the Vallotton Youth Complex and ending at the Craig Center on Gordon St. It is a convenient multipurpose trail, whether you would like to take a nice long stroll, go on a bike ride, skate, or take your dog on a walk, it can accommodate your needs. There are several benches to rest at, along with dog bag dispensers along the way.  No Fee

Bland Park (1 Acre)

2204 E. Park Lane, Off Gornto, past YMCA.

Playground, Grill, Picnic Table. No Fee

Chitty Park (2 Acres)

Industrial Blvd. (Across from County Maintenance Facility)

2 picnic tables, 2 park benches, 1 acre pond for fishing, no Fee

   

Clyattville Community Park (10 Acres)

4377 Old Clyattville Rd, on Hwy 31, across RR, right on Clyattville

    

Shelter with Picnic Tables (seats 60) ($25 fee), Restrooms, 1 Grill, Basketball Court, Playground, Swings,

Water Fountain,  1/4 Mile Walking Track, Softball Field.

Clyattville Community Park is a 10 acre park that offers a wide variety of activities. The picnic pavilion can hold up to 60 people.

 Use it  to entertain friends and family for a birthday party, cookout or reunion. There is a 1/4 mile walking trail,

and a playground for the kids. There is also a basketball court and a softball field to play on and the water fountain

and restrooms for your convenience as well.

   

Drexel Park (11.1 Acres)

Playground, Picnic Area, No Shelters, No Restrooms, 4 Sections for Rent ($25 Fee)

 

Drexel Park has been a host for numerous activities in Valdosta. The Azalea Festival is our largest festival, along with tailgating

before home football games and other local events. This 11 acre park is a beautiful park to take pictures in, have a picnic,

 enjoy watching your children play on the playground or relax on one of our benches.

John W. Saunders Memorial Park  (34.4 Acres)

Formerly known as Barber Park

J. W. Saunders Park, formally known as 'Barber Park', is an 'all around' superb park. With in it's 34 acres,

there are 2 Basketball Courts, a playground, water splash area for the kids to play in, a nature trail, an amphitheater,

a concession stand, bathrooms,1 Large Picnic Pavilion, which is a great location for Family Reunions, and 5 small shelters.

Lake Park Library Park (2 Acres)

Hwy. 375 Lakes Blvd. across from Post Office.

1 Shelter ($15 Fee), Playground, 3 Picnic Tables, 1 Grill, and 
3 Benches.

Langdale Park (Approx. 175 Acres)

Hwy. 41 North

6 Picnic Tables, 5 Grills, Boat, Boat Ramp on Withlacoochee River, Open Park
7 1/2 miles of Walking Trail.  No Fee

J. L. Lomax (0.39 Acres)

Lovett Park (2 Acres)

Off 41 South behind convenience store, past Inner Perimeter.

1 Picnic Table & 1 Bench.  No Fee

     

McKey Park (15.5 Acres)

112 Burton Ave.

      

3 picnic pavilions ($25 fee), grills, and restrooms, 2 Playgrounds, volleyball court, tennis courts & water fountain.

 

McKey Park is our favored park within this community. There are 3 Picnic Pavilions with grills, that are ideal for Birthday Party's,

 a Volleyball Court, 8 Tennis Courts, 2 Playgrounds, picnic tables and beautiful scenery with a creek streaming through

the middle of the park. Book your shelter today before it's too late!

Naylor Community Park (2 Acres)

Hwy. 84 East, 10 miles east of Valdosta

Community Center ($50 fee) ($25 key deposit), Restrooms, Screened-in-pavilion

 with Picnic Tables ($35 fee), Playground.

Riley-Ledford Park (5 Acres)

Hwy. 84 East, 10 miles east of Valdosta

3 Shelters ($15 fee), Ball field, Walking Track.

   

Payton Park (10 Acres)

Hwy. 94 East - New Statenville Hwy. (Off of Griffin Avenue)

1 Shelter ($25 fee), Restrooms ($25 key deposit), 

  2 Picnic Tables, 3 Grills, Water Fountain, 1/4 Mile Walking Track, Playground and 3 Acre Pond (NO SWIMMING ALLOWED)

Oris Blackburn Memorial Park  (110 Acres)

Hwy. 31 South, 2 miles west of Clyattville near Florida line.

, Approx. 5 Acre Lake for Fishing (NO SWIMMING)

Scott Park (28 Acres)

Take 84, right on Fry St., left on Statenville, Across from Southeast Elementary School.

   

2 Shelters with picnic tables for up to 50 people ($30 fee), Restrooms, Water ($25 Key Deposit), Grill, Playground,

4 Basketball Courts ($35 per court), Stage (20ftx20ft) $100/4hrs, 4 Tennis Courts,

2 Adult/Youth Baseball Fields, 1 Youth Baseball Field, Walking Track
