BASIC SEWING CLASS Age Requirement: 16 & Older Participation Fee: $35.00 Meeting Days & Times: This embroidery class is for those interested in learning basic sewing skills as far as stitching pieces of fabric together to make garments. This program starts and meets Tuesday, September 29, from 6:00-8:00pm and Thursday, October 1, from 6:00-8:00pm. CHECKERS AND CHESS NIGHT This hands-on program is for adults to come together to play board and card games and interact with one another. Program starts and meets Tuesday in September from 6:45-7:45pm
BASIC COMPUTER CLASS Age Requirement: 16 & Older Participation Fee: $35.00 Meeting Days & Times: This hands-on basic computer class is for computer users to help navigate the Internet and programs in Microsoft Office. COMPUTER LAB RECREATION Adults who come to the computer lab for recreation are supervised in a setting to explore the Internet. Public Hours are from 10:30-12:00 and 1:00-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and on Saturday's from 10:00-2:00pm. On Fridays, it is open to the public from 10:30-12:00 and 1:00-3:00p.m.
THE MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE This league is offered yearly to men that are in high school, college or in the workforce. Registration is throughout February. This league has a lot of excitement and is very competitive. We welcome all surrounding counties to participate. This team sponsorship fee is $250.00 and $30.00 for the individual participant fee.
Interpretive Inspirational Dance Class Learn the fundamentals of inspirational dance through interpretation, using banners, streamers and flags. Learn how to use interpretive dance for any inspirational setting. Spaces are limited, register today! *All ages welcome! January 10 - March 14 2009, Instructed by: Sheretta King. Beginners Dance Recital Class Students will be introduced to basic forms of dance: Ballet, Interpretive, African, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Modern. Spaces are limited, so register your child today! Start date and registration: January 13. Late Registration deadline: January 27, 2009. When: Tuesdays, Ages 4-10: 6:00-6:45pm and Ages 11-15: 7:00-7:45pm. Instructor: Sheretta King. Senior Programs AGES: 50 AND UP Fee: $12.00/year
BINGO Senior Bingo will meets Wednesdays from 11:30-12:30pm. Bingo players try weekly to win souvenirs brought in by all players, we bring in mystery gifts for the top five winners of Bonus Bingo. For more information, contact Michael Foster @ 259-5407.
WELLNESS WALK Starting September 14th , Wellness Walk will meet Mondays from 10:00am-11:00am. For more information, contact Michael Foster @ 259-5407.
SENIOR SOCIAL Starting September 18th, the Senior Social will meet every third Friday from 11:30am-1:30pm. The Senior Social is devised for a time of fellowship in which participants eat monthly at a local eatery or at the center each member brings a covered dished and everyone enjoys lunch while watching a movie.
