Christmas Card Cruise

Life Sized Christmas Card

UPDATE: The Christmas Card Cruise is unfortunately canceled this year (2021).  Because of supply chain issues, we could not get the lumber needed to have the cruise.  We will try again next year.  We apologize and hope you join us for one of our other holiday events: Tinsel & Treats on 12/2, Movie in the Park ("Home Alone") on 12/3, Groovy Grinch Tie DieNight on 12/16, the Jingle Jog on 12/18, and the Candy Cane Hunt on 12/21.

A larger-than-life Christmas card display is coming to Freedom Park.  VLPRA is offering the second annual “Christmas Card Cruise”, and is giving local businesses
and organizations a chance to participate.

VLPRA provides the oversized plywood card already primed white.  Businesses pick up their blank cards and have about three weeks to paint them.   They drop the cards
off at Freedom Park and VLPRA staff place them along the road that runs through the park for the month of December.

All month, residents can stroll or drive through the park to view the cards. Any business who would like to participate must register at by Friday, November 5th.
Space is extremely limited.

WHO: Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority
WHAT: VLPRA’s Christmas Card Cruise
WHEN: Deadline to register is November 5th
WHERE: Freedom Park, Valdosta
HOW MUCH: $100 per card // one card limit per organization
